The Gann family is a multi-generational ranching family that moved to Texas in 1820’s. I was born and raised on a West Texas ranch, I relocated to Llano in 1972, taking with me the hard work and values that ranch life requires. After graduating from Crane High School, I continued my education at Sul Ross State University earning a bachelor’s degree in education while competing on the rodeo team as a calf roper and team roper.
After college I moved to Llano where I managed a large ranch for 10 years before pursuing a 28 year career with the United States Postal Service. I started in the insurance business with my wife Rene’ in 2002, with her managing Lentz-Gann Insurance and myself realizing that real estate was a good fit with insurance. I began a real estate career in 2005. I enjoying all aspects of the real estate industry, but my love remains with farm, ranch and acreage properties.
With our Christian faith being a very important aspect in our lives, we are members of the First Baptist Church in Kingsland. My wife Rene’ and I are blessed with three great sons and three amazing daughter-in-law’s who all live in the area. Together they have given us 7 grandchildren with number 8 arriving in December. I am very passionate about Llano county and our surrounding hill country area, so if you are considering selling your property or buying property, I am dedicated to helping you achieve a pleasant real estate transaction.
I love the Hill Country of Texas and I love real estate; and just at the right time of my life I’m lucky enough to be experiencing both. My husband and I chose to move to Llano from Austin in January, 2016 to raise our son in a small community and to be close to family. We quickly realized the added benefit we didn’t expect are the spectacular sunsets we see over the Llano river.
I have been fascinated by Real Estate since I was a young girl when I first learned about the value of real estate. Stock Markets can wipe out savings, 401(k) accounts can change. College Funds can grow and decline; but the value of real estate persists.
I remember our drives to the lake, visits to my grandparents and simple pleasure drives into the “country” and was amazed as land that had been vacant for years, decades, even centuries, now supported homes, families, and lives. I knew I wanted to be part of that.
So, after many years working in an office, including 8 years in Banking as an executive assistant in commercial and real estate lending, I was tired of sitting and needed a change. I started by performing residential improvements for a Real Estate Agent. I quickly found that often homes needed just some TLC before going on the market. Once I completed the basic rehab, I would stage them, photograph them and hand them over to the Real Estate Agent. Those small touches quickly brought the reality of home ownership to many. I was so grateful to be part of that experience.
I would love to help you whether you’re looking for your first home, your next home, of just looking to invest in something more stable than the stock market. My passion truly comes from matching people with their dreams.
